Helmed by pianist and composer Jacob Pleakis, the aptly named Pleaktunes Trio is adept at many musical styles - from Great American Songbook swingers to Headhunters-style funk jams to tasteful bossa novas. With influences as wide-ranging as Ahmad Jamal, Dr. John, and Domi and JD Beck, the Pleaktunes Trio is at home just about anywhere, keeping cocktails chilled and parties buzzing all over Pittsburgh.
