Cameron McCullum is a drummer, percussionist, and bandleader from Detroit, Michigan. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Cameron began playing the djembe at age three and later transitioned to the drum set at age 13, inspired by jazz legend Roy Haynes. He studied at the Sankofa Village for the Arts and the Afro-American Music Institute, receiving mentorship from esteemed musicians such as James T. Johnson III, Dr. Roger Humphries, and Poogie Bell.

Since establishing Cameron McCullum & Friends in 2017, the group has developed a signature sound that fuses modern jazz, smooth R&B, and late-night grooves.
